Day 28, 29, 30, 31 & 32 #100happydays

Whew! What a few days it has been. Happy? Most definitely. Busy? Heck yes.  So much so, that I did Day 29 for two consecutive days – only realised it now as I was uploading images.  For the sake of my very addled noggin, I am not going to change the numbers.  I will just be having #101happydays in the long run.

Tree Daliahs
Tree Daliahs.  Big love.

Day 28.  These beautiful blooms, with their heavy heads and long fringes covering their eyes are some of the most beautiful things in the garden (alas alack, my mothers garden, not mine) at the moment.  Ah the beauty of autumn.

My apologies for the matchy, matchy. Completely unintentional xx

Day 29, (the first one…).  The most simple of things makes my day.  Just being able to be home with my kids everyday, watching them eat ice-cream, makes my heart swell to bursting.  I am a fortunate woman indeed.

Fresh coffee, biscuits out of the oven, nearly no kids - just Reg, 5B pencil and my sketch pad. Oh what a blissful afternoon.

Day 29, (the second one…).  Having just said how fortunate I am to be able to be home everyday with my kids, I am not so nuts as to not appreciate a bit of me time to immerse myself in my art.  I spent the afternoon working on images for the 2014 Annual Kimba Show Poster – there will be a post on that at some point.  Oh, and the coffee and biscuits were pretty smashing also.

No words necessary.
No words necessary.

Day 30.  Still no words necessary.  Love.  That is all.

When life hands you lemons, make lemon curd, lemon oil, lemon syrup and preserved lemons. What a luciously lemony day.

Day 31.  The lemon (meyer) tree at my father-in-law’s is loaded with the most perfect fruit imaginable.  I picked a huge bag full and honestly you could not see that I had taken a single one.  The tree is only about 1.5 metres round, pretty small really, but holy toledo batman – there are hundreds and hundreds of lemons.  Woohoo, plenty more lusciously lemony days to come.

Garden selfies...

Day 32.  These little guys rock my world, float my boat, blow my hair back and really, I think I may exist solely to love them with my entire existence.

In case you are wondering, that is ice-cream all around Connie’s mouth – we are quite the fans of ice-cream in our house.  About 4 times a week I have to stop myself taking yet another “Ice-cream photo”, really, messy and sticky doesn’t really change that much from day to day, but boy do I think it’s super cute, every single time.

Phew, sorry to bombard you with nearly an entire week all at once, but knew that if I didn’t do it soon, I was gonna fall of the wagon of daily posting.  So, wish me luck and we’ll see you all again tomorrow…

Cheers

Carmen
